We wish all of you had a wonderful break so that you could be fully
restored both mentally and physically.
This Wednesday would be our first prayer meeting for the 2nd half of
the semester. We have two very important things that we want to focus
in our prayers:
1) The CCCM team and the Joseph Fellowship will be comming up to DeKalb
this Thursday evenning. Just like last semester, they will be travelling
from place to place to evangelise and to hand out invitations for the
evangelistic meeting comming up next Saturday. Let us pray that the Lord
would use this opportunity to bring His Gospel to the community here.
2) The second issue concerns with the Tsou family (Chiu Chung's family).
We have just receieved the news that Yunting has lost her job at Lucent.
In other words, both of Chiu Chung and Yunting are out of jobs now. It
is not unusual to lose job in the industrial circle nowadays. (even for
the best peoples). But happening to both of them at the same time is
very devastating. Especially at a time like this, when they have just
adopted Hope (their new baby girl) from Taiwan. This has become a severe
trial in their lives. The comforting part is, they have been very strong
in their Faith with the Lord. In the midst of these turmoils and trails
(the illness of Hope and their loss of jobs), they still stand firm and
have peace in the Lord. Like what Jesus said in His farewell discourse,
' Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as
the world gives.Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid.'
So, please do remember them in your prayers. If you could not join us in
person, please at least set out some time between 7 pm and 8 pm on that
Wednesday evenning and pray for them at your own place. Yet, we still
wish very much that you could join us in person to pray for a family
who has labored among us so loyally throughout all these years, someone
that we have learnt so much from, someone that we have looked up to and
cherish about so dearly. That is the least we could do.
The Lord bless you and keep you,
